6 of the next 10 games the Reds play are against the St Louis Cardinals. I don’t know about you, but I feel the same way about the Cards as I do about the Pittsburgh Steelers. I hate them both.
So the Reds open tonight at 7 in the quest to take the Central division. I understand that the season does not hinge on these next 6 games, but to set the tone at home in the first series would be awesome.
I also look for Homer Bailey to begin a breakout season tonight against the Reds biggest rival. He will be facing Jake Westbrook who in his own words:
“This was probably one of the best springs I’ve ever had,” Westbrook said. “I’m super confident in where I am. I just want to try and keep that going and be as consistent as I can possibly be.”
We know Homer had a little bit rougher time in spring, but how many times do players struggle in the spring only to put it all together when the stats really are counted?
I am pumped for the next three games and hope many other fans make their way down to the park to watch the Reds hit the Cards in the mouth starting tonight.
